The Delphonics

The Delphonics: This group had the massive hit “La La Says I Love you” and the Grammy winning “Didn’t I (BlowYour Mind This Time”.in the late 60s and early 70s. The Quentin Tarantino movie, Jackie Brown features their music heavily throughout the film. This was one of the first records I did with Adrian. I was very honored to work with William Hart. He is a living legend whose music has been sampled by everyone from Wu Tang Clan ,The Fugees to Notorious B.I.G and covered by Aretha Franklin, The Jackson 5 and Prince. Here are two of my favorite drum tracks, “Stop and Look” and “Lover’s Melody” from the album Adrian Younge presents The Delphonics.
